Paris Saint-Germain have been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the last 16 for the fifth time in a row after a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The French champions had taken the lead through Kylian Mbappe in the 74th minute, but Bayern hit back with three goals in the last 10 minutes to secure a 4-3 aggregate victory and a place in the quarter-finals.
It was another disappointing European campaign for PSG, who have now failed to reach the semi-finals since 1995. The club's Qatari owners have invested heavily in the squad in recent years, but they have yet to deliver the Champions League trophy that they crave.
PSG will now turn their attention to the domestic cups and Ligue 1, where they are still in contention for the title. However, the Champions League exit is a major blow to their hopes of winning a treble this season.
