Taylor Swift Releases 4 New Songs as Eras Tour Kicks Off Friday

New Tracks, New Album, and a Grammy Thank You

Taylor Swift has released four new songs as her Eras Tour kicks off on Friday. The new songs include a Taylor's Version of "Eyes Open," from her 2019 album Lover. Swift announced the release of her new songs and 11th studio album after winning her 13th Grammy Award on Sunday.

"I want to say thank you to the fans," Swift said, holding her Grammy. "You made this possible."

The pop superstar will release her highly anticipated 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on Friday, April 19. The album will include re-recordings of Swift's The Hunger Games tracks, including "If This Was a Movie" (Taylor's Version), as well as four brand-new songs.

Swift announced the release of the four new songs on social media, writing, "I'm so excited to share these new songs with you. I wrote them over the past few months and they're some of my favorites."

The four new songs are:

  • "Eyes Open" (Taylor's Version)
  • "If This Was a Movie" (Taylor's Version)
  • "The Tortured Poets Department"
  • "Love Story (Taylor's Version)"

Swift's Eras Tour kicks off on Friday, March 18, in Glendale, Arizona. The tour will visit 52 cities across North America and Europe.
